Greetings postcards of undyed unbleached cotton khadi card, woven using naturally-dyed cotton or reclaimed wool yarns and foraged dried plants.
Measurements: 11cm x 15.5cm.
The card is made using unbleached undyed cotton khadi rags, which creates a uniquely textured paper. The woven materials add further texture.
Gift these as cards by writing your message on the back, or just as is. A black paper envelope is provided. The Steele Studio seed logo is stamped on the back of the card.

Natural materials = technically free
Reclaimed yarns = £0.02

Labour = 20 minutes to stitch and weave @ LLW £13.85/ph - £4.62
Cost for materials and labour is then £5.33, which is cost prohibitive to sell and make a profit on the creative energy spent in making the item. Therefore the decision here was to add a stipend of £0.60 to cover overheads and fees, but sell the item essentially at cost price.

The dried natural materials are fragile and can easily break with handling, particularly any grasses or stems with loose seeds. Preserve in a glass frame, or otherwise accept the ephemerality of it! Compost the item when you’re done with it.

The card will be placed in the black A6 paper self-seal envelope. It will be wrapped in a small piece of recycled tissue paper and/or bubble wrap for its journey if it is travelling alone.
Shipping packaging will be a padded envelope, likely reused where possible.
